With an African origin and European soul, the capital of the Cape Verde archipelago, located on the island of Santiago, is divided into small neighbourhoods that are pleasant to walk around. The charming alleys lead to the Plateau (colonial city centre) which includes Albuquerque Square, the Old Town Hall and the Presidential Palace. Boat docked, dive locker closed, stopover without beach.

Boat docked in the industrial port area, 14 km from the centre of Cayenne, no water sports, no direct access to a beach.
