Great facility, great beach, great food.
If you appreciate non-smoker protections, however, this is not the place to go. I saw one sign at reception saying smoking was not allowed in common areas. In reality, smoking was openly allowed at the bar, at the coffee shop seating area, and next to the entertainment stage. For that reason, I would not go back.

The staff are super nice, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the food is amazing. Thalia and Quentin are super nice and super helpful with the teen and kids club! The rooms are nice and livable, and the resort is really family friendly. 10/10

Just returned from a 5-days vacation at Clubmed Miches and had a great experience. Beautiful location, and great staff. The GOs make the difference; a big thank you to Jhony from archery for being so helpful and the aquatic team, Kervens, for all the encouragements.

My wife and I chose to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary with a one-week stay at Club Med Michès. Having visited several other Club Med resorts over the years — including Turks & Caicos (three times), Columbus Isle (Bahamas), Punta Cana (DR), Guadeloupe La Caravelle, and Val Thorens in France — we arrived with fairly high expectations, especially given Michès’ positioning as part of the “Exclusive Collection.”

Overall, our experience was mixed, with notable « positives » but several areas where the resort did not meet the standards we associated with the “Exclusive” label when booking and paying a premium price. We encountered recurring communication gaps between the front desk and maintenance, inconsistent housekeeping, and general cleanliness issues in common areas (notably the elevator). Our room’s air conditioning was uncomfortably cold and, despite reporting it early in the week, it was never fully resolved. Similarly, the in-room tablet did not function properly throughout our stay. We also found the automated chat feedback system impersonal and unhelpful.

That said, what ultimately lifted our overall impression — and rating — was the dedication of several outstanding GOs and staff members who went well beyond expectations to help resolve issues and support guests. Because of them, we are rating Michès four stars rather than three.

In particular, we would like to thank Iara at reception for her sincere efforts to resolve key concerns; Max, Head of Sports, for helping us navigate a transportation issue at the airport; Allan for his consistently positive and professional attitude; and Waly, Club Med’s representative at Punta Cana Airport, who single-handedly assisted a group of five GMs after an Air Canada flight (booked through Club Med) was delayed by nearly six hours. Enrico at Michès also stepped up impressively to support our Montreal travel group by arranging dinner access at the Punta Cana Club Med while we were stranded.

While we generally prefer to focus on the positives, we do feel that — given the issues outlined above — Michès does not fully live up to the “Exclusive” designation at this time.

On the positive side, we very much enjoyed our daily pickleball games and the wide range of daytime activities available, including yoga and meditation, volleyball, mini-putt golf, sunset kayaking, and the relaxed ambiance and good food at Coco Plum. Overall, the food quality was solid, the water was well filtered, and the variety of dining options was reasonable. Don’t miss the adult-only Zen Pool for swimming, sun-bathing and enjoying a unique « swim-up-bar » …. Also the coffee at the café is much better than the ordinary tasting coffee served at breakfast in the main dining area.

In terms of the setting, Michès is a lush, beautifully landscaped tropical resort, though prospective guests should be aware that the main beach is relatively narrow and not especially well suited for swimming or snorkeling. We did, however, discover a lovely and quiet beach area about a 10-minute walk to the right when facing the ocean.

We chose the title “1 and done” carefully. While we appreciated many aspects of our stay, my wife and I do not plan to return, as we feel there are stronger Club Med options available — including Columbus Isle, Turks & Caicos, and even nearby Punta Cana, which has recently been renovated.

This is an excellent place to go with your family if you have young children. The kids club is amazing! Tons of activities ranging from trapeze to tennis to beach games. Your kids will not get bored there. While they are at the kids club, check out the zen pool with the juice bar. Gym is also great. This was our second time at Miches and would definitely be back. Food is probably a 7/10 but that's what I would expect at an all-inclusive.

Shoutout to the amazing kids club staff! My 2-3 year old was so happy at pick up and drop off everyday. I don't have the names of the teachers but they were so warm and loving and genuinely seemed happy to be there. My 4-5 year old had Carm Size, Elsa, Betchina, Maria, Lamonitte and Captain Doudou! Can't wait to be back!
