We could not have found a more stunning location on the most glorious beach, to celebrate a big birthday with three generations of our family. The staff were all brilliant, so helpful and supportive, as we embraced the many activities, and all tried new sports, particularly archery. The rooms were spotless and incredibly comfortable, and the food was amazing, catering for all our tastes and requirements. It was truly a very special place where we have created magical dreams! We had a wonderful stay at Club Med Bintan. Our daughter (6yr) had an absolute ball enjoying the trapeze, archery, wall climbing, ping pong, and tennis. She spent hours swimming in the pools and also enjoyed the warm tranquil sea for daily swims. The all-inclusive drinks menu was impressive and particularly enjoyed the Rose wine option and cocktails. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and went out of their way to assist whenever needed. Special mention to Michael and Abbi who went out of their way to make our daughter feel extra special. The evening entertainment was exceptional and we all enjoyed the nightly shows and special fireworks display for Bastille Day. Our room was extremely comfortable and had a separate bay window bed for our daughter. Black-out curtains meant the room was extra dark at night which we appreciated. Our experience at the spa was fantastic. We had a disappointing meal at the "out of hours" Terrace restaurant but otherwise had no complaints about the variety and quality of food served in the main restaurant. Word of advice would be to take your own snorkeling gear, especially for kids under 8 yrs old as they will not be allowed to join the snorkeling excursion and snorkeling gear is only available if you head to the nearby site with the resort boat. The snorkeling trip was a bit disappointing as vis was not great and also the excursion booked up fast so be a little earlier than the planned daily time slot for registration to make sure you get a spot on that respective snorkel trip.
