Wonderful resort with so many activities and joyful spirit from morning to night. The GO’s were amazing and so warm and helpful. Great and healthy food and even a sommelier! Julia, our sommelier, did an incredible job to help us get the perfect wine and was so kind and helped make our trip the best it could be. Kudos to all the amazing GO’s!!!!

Family trip the week of Thanksgiving. We had an amazing time! The food was delicious, the rooms comfortable and the staff were wonderful! The GM Luca is a wonderful host. Our group ranged from 10 to 75 years old. We swam, snorkeled, ate, drank, danced and laughed the entire time. There was something to do for everyone.
Highly recommend the scooter tour with Jerry. He took us all over the island, showed us all the hidden gems and shared the island history. Make sure you check out the gift shop, they have a great stylist!

I was the leader for a group of 30 from a nonprofit sports club in the DC area. I have been to over 30 Club Med villages, and attended the Grand Opening of this village many years ago. It's still one of my favorites, and did not disappoint. The resort is beautiful, and recently went through a (almost) complete renovation. The beach features beautiful white sand, shallow waves, and blindingly blue water. The island of San Salvador is almost deserted, so the Club Med village is a true oasis.

The first thing I noticed upon arrival is that the ambience is oh so French! The Chef de Village "Luc" greeted our group in the auditorium upon arrival, but his English was so heavily accented that his comments were undecipherable. Almost all of the G.O's were also French, along with a high percentage of the guests (G.M.'s). Even the Canadians who arrived mid-week seemed to all be from Montreal or Quebec, where French is the predominant language. This was a minor annoyance, and did not detract from our enjoyment.

The food was very good, but the selection was not as varied as I have seen at other villages. The "White Night" poolside dinner was a real treat! Bar service was very good, but sometimes slow. Those bartenders really worked hard to keep the drinks flowing. The nightly entertainment was very good, and it was obvious that Luc had a strong background in dance. LOTS of energy and enthusiasm.

Some further renovations to the resort are needed. My bed was lumpy and listed to one side, but still comfortable. Right around sunset the water pressure dropped considerably, and the temperature would vary considerably. Still, the rooms were very comfortable.

Another great Club Med vacation! Over half our group signed up for our next trip to Playa Esmeralda next Spring!

Great, relaxing stay here, big shoutout to Baptiste, he is the best! Helped us create a memorable trip (went out of his way to create an occasion for a family's birthday), formed genuine connections and made us feel like we were part of the Club Med family! Benjamin from the Sports team always brought the energy and Julia was also great!
