Officially founded in 1897, this southern Dominican Republic port town owes its development to the installation of a large sugar cane mill built by Italian immigrants some twenty years later. Day 2: Samana Bay

Set in the heart of the Dominican Republic, the Samaná peninsula reveals a more secret and unspoiled side to the country. Day 3: Puerto Plata

This town was founded by Christopher Columbus in 1493 at foot of Mount Isabel de Torres before being rebuilt in the 19th century in a Victorian and neoclassical style. Its UNESCO-listed historic centre, pastel-coloured houses and colonial atmosphere make it a charming stopover. Boat is docked, no nautical activities are planned.

San Salvador still has fascinating traces of its early years: historic monuments, colonial remains, mysterious ruins and submerged shipwrecks bear witness to a rich and eventful past. Day 6: Eleuthera

Almost 180 kilometres long yet mostly less than 3 kilometres wide, Eleuthera reveals an extraordinary landscape. Crossed by a single winding road, the island invites you to peacefully explore fields of pineapples as far as the eye can see, pristine beaches with white and pink sands, and hidden away coves beside a turquoise sea. Between pristine beaches, lagoons, mangroves, and spectacular mountains, this still largely undiscovered area offers an authentic experience in the heart of untouched nature. Day 13: Santa Marta

A charming Caribbean coastal town, Santa Marta is one of Colombia's oldest cities and the country's first Spanish colony. Day 14: San Blas

An archipelago made up of countless tiny islands, reminiscent of Robinson Crusoe’s dreams. Only a small portion, about ten percent, is inhabited by the Kuna people, who fiercely protect their environment and ancestral way of life. Boat at anchor, dive locker closed.
Day 15: Colón

75 km from Panama City, Colón is the Atlantic entrance to the Panama Canal. Founded in the 19th century around the Transisthmian railway, the city quickly established itself as a strategic maritime trade hub. Today, it is home to the world's second largest free trade zone.
